Dalaman is a small provincial town with about 14,000 inhabitants on the Lycian coast, opposite to Rhodes. The corresponding Mugla province in southwest Asia Minor, which was once the heartland of ancient Caria.
Dalaman has been known only by the opening of the airport in 1986. Worthwhile is a visit to the ancient rock tombs of the Lycians from Kyra or to the remains of Byzantine buildings of Lydia in. Similarly, 30 km away from Dalaman were the remains of the ancient settlement discovered Hippokome.
Enjoy a swim in the sulphurous springs of water or Kapikargin Incebel! There you can take mud baths and relax in the sulfurous thermal pools.
Is ideal for hiking in the mountains and the river area in the hinterland of Dalaman. Possible destinations include the caves of Gogdag, the market in Gürkoy Demirci, Akkoprü of the historic bridge over the river or the castle of Dalaman Gürleyik.
