Tigre: A nice trip from Buenos Aires to Tigre states, a pretty town on an island in the delta of Paran, which is only 30 km away. The main activities take place at the ferry (the Estacion Fluvial) rather than on a river. From there you can take boat trips on the waterways of the delta of Paran. The boats also stop for a walk on the dirt tracks of certain islands. Only a few blocks from the station is open every day of the Puerto de Frutos (fruit and vegetable market), which is now a market for handicraft products. Trains run regularly from the Buenos Aires Retiro station (Linea Mitre) and the ride takes 45 minutes. San Antonio de Areco: lies about 100 km from the town of San Antonio de Areco, a small town with rural character and tree-lined streets, the lives of their cultural heritage gaucho. Gauchos are or were the cowboys of Argentina, who worked on the estancias (cattle ranches) in the Pampas. The tradition of the gaucho is almost entirely extinct, except where it has been specially preserved for the tourists.
There are many souvenir shops that sell mainly handmade products gaucho leather and silver goods and ceramics. The city has many of its cobbled streets and houses and villas from the 19th Century preserved. One such building is the Museo Francesco Ricardo Guiraldes Gauch, which recreated a traditional estancia, and this has fully equipped with items of the Gauchos.

Advance bookings are essential. Want to ride is the real reason for a visit, although sulkies (traditional carriages) are available for those who do not ride. The use of the beautiful swimming pool and a hearty lunch from the grill are also included in the package of the day trips on the ranch.
Buses to San Antonio de Areco leave daily from the Plaza Once and Retiro bus station and the journey takes about two hours.
