Spree Forest: The Spree Forest, southeast of Berlin, is one of about 48,000 acres of wooded conservation area that is crisscrossed by a maze of waterways of 1000 km in length the headwaters of the River Spree, which flows through Berlin to the Baltic Sea. In this forest you can enjoy the great nature, walking or cycling, water sports and boat trips in sample boats. Good starting points for a trip to the area are of great Lübbenauer port or ports in the smaller Lubben and castle. The Spreewald is situated 110 km from Berlin and can be reached via the A13. Trains depart hourly from the station also in Southeast King Wusterhausen from Berlin (journey time: 40 minutes) and approximately every 2 hours from the Zoo station and the Ostbahnhof (journey time: 90 minutes or 1 hour).
