Perth

Perth (website: www.ptic.com.au) has experienced in recent years a great boom. Modern skyscrapers tower over the old buildings from the colonial period, such as the courthouse, City Hall and the Old Mill. The Swan River with its many elegant bridges winding through the city. A boat trip upriver leads to wineries. Kings Park, a beautiful park in the middle of the city, the Western Australian Art Gallery and the huge entertainment center also attract many visitors.

On the beaches of the West Coast, it’s almost always hot and sunny. Most beaches can be reached without difficulty from Perth.

Rottnest Iceland

Before the natural port of Fremantle is Rottnest Iceland, an island similar to a nature reserve and home to the Quokka, small, the wallaby marsupials. 1696 the Dutch explorer was the first European to Van Vlaming Quokka on this island.

Outside of Perth:

The mountain chain of the Darling Ranges lies with their national parks in the vicinity of Perth and is a popular destination. Further east, inland lies the thriving gold mining town of Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie cities such as, during the gold rush in the 19th Century out of the ground. The spectacular rock wave (Wave Rock) near Hyden is well worth seeing. Just north of Perth in the Nambung National Park, the famous Pinnacles are to be admired. Further north, at Monkey Mia, can you come in contact with the dolphins up close. The rust-colored landscape is bordered to the north of miles of pristine coastline. Despite the drought, the state of Western Australia in September and October with wild flowers.


Which are up to 200 meters depth in the gorges of Karijini National falling farm located halfway between Perth and Broome. In this area you will lose only a few adventurous tourists, traverse the leader with a pristine national park on foot. Such tours are mostly offered from March to November. Albany is located at the southern tip, the first European settlement in Western Australia, where many of the old buildings have been completely restored.
