The most popular tourist destinations are the wonderful Yellowstone National Park (some belonging to the state of Wyoming, see Wyoming) and the Glacier National Park with its varied landscape, which is extremely popular with walkers. In addition, there are many spacious recreational areas and leisure parks, such as the Bob-Marshall Game Reserve, the National Bison Range, Flathead Lake and the huge Charlie Russell Wild Park.
The Yellowstone Park, one of the largest in the U.S., is perhaps the most famous national park in the world. Its plant and animal wealth in addition to the Geysers is one of the main attractions. Among the animal species living here include deer, elk, bison and bears in remote areas also. Splendid the Yellowstone Lake is in the southern part of the park. Visitors have several accommodation options.
In the former gold mining town of Helena, you can and in the Gothic-style St. Helena’s Cathedral to visit museums, many of the buildings date from the 19th Century. Other attractions of the Treasure State, Montana, as is well known, are the Custer battlefield and the reconstructed Western towns Virginia City and Nevada City, in which the last century, the gold fever broke out in the middle. The Wild West is still alive in rodeos and Indian powwows and dances.
