The Jordanian cuisine does not have much originality. It is similar to that of its neighbors Egypt, Lebanese and Turkish.

Fresh vegetables are very rare, most of the fittings are different preparations of rice or French fries called “French Frites.”

Baklavas: small delights of puff pastry topped with honey in different varieties, with walnuts, pistachios, almonds …
With respect to beverages should avoid tap water, mineral water is excellent because Jordan has very good natural sources. Fruit juices are not good, especially in street stalls and add them to tap water, bottled drinks are preferable.
Sahlab: typical winter hot drink, milk, cornstarch, sugar, add grated coconut, pistachios … delicious.
