A Coruna, the age-old city
It is located on the northwest side of Spain, is the capital of the province of La Coruna and the autonomous community of Galicia. A Coruna in Galicia, is a special city for sightseeing. Besides being one of the most beautiful cities, the people there are very friendly and helpful to tourists, treat them as friends in no time you will feel excluded or discriminated against just for being foreign.
The buildings and city buildings are quite modern. But, surprisingly, being a city that has been settled since before the Roman times, is a city with so much history, it is rich in heritage and ancient monuments. The best known of them and most symbolic of the city is “The Tower of Hercules” an emblematic Roman lighthouse that is still running. Many tourists come to visit and who are interested in the legends that are told, as saying that Hercules remains rest there.
That in comparison to other cities, Coruna not have the best cultural heritage does not mean that the city has activities for tourists. On the contrary, if you travel in the city will never get bored, because the city offers many tourist attractions.
Most tourists come to town, they do in the summer because they want to enjoy beaches. The Atlantic Ocean washes the shores of one side of the city, while the other half given to the estuary of La Coruna.
