Antalya is a port city on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, the Turkish Riviera. The city is situated on cliffs above the coast and is surrounded by mountains of the Taurus Mountains. The Turkish Riviera is a popular destination for tourists from all over the world, many of them come at the international airport of Antalya.
The historic old city of Antalya stretches along a picturesque cliff, the city beach and the port city located south of the old town. The city with its 800,000 inhabitants has existed since the year 158 BC, the time it was founded by Attalus, king of Pergamum.
